Buffalo Point Campground

  We spent 4 days in D loop. The campground is well maintained and in a beautiful location. There is practically zero cell service in most of the campground. For me that was a major plus but just tossing that out there. Downsides to the campsite was not having a freestanding grill at our site in D loop. The other downside was the bathrooms in particular the shower situation. Just 2 small shower stalls with communal drying off and changing spot. This wasn't an issue for me but some people would be uncomfortable with this situation particularly with minor children. Overall though a great place to camp with shaded sites and easy access to the river.

  Always love tent camping here. It's a short walk to the water and floating the river is relaxing, just be sure to check water levels and do a short float first to judge water speed before trying to plan out a 3+ hour float. Once tried to do too long of a float and had to swim/run the last 4 miles to get to the campground before dark

  A great value for the price and its the only campground on the Buffalo National River with RV hookups for water/power. Women's restrooms in two different buildings didnt have sinks for water which was a hassle. They looked like they have been out for months, but the buildings had running water. They need to get those repaired ASAP.

  Everything about this park was nice except that the sites were very close together and it was very crowded. The river was beautiful. The ranger was very helpful in stamping my son's passport book.
