  Very nice campground that is in the perfect location to visit the New River Gorge national park. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable about the route to take when pulling a camper. They accommodated us with a full hookup site that was brand new. It was so easy to back into. The fire pit and the deck with picnic table was so nice. Such pretty flowers and landscaping. I would definitely recommend this campground for visiting this area. There is a Walmart and plenty of fast food places if you need anything.

  My family and enjoyed our stay at Rifrafters. Everything was clean and in good repair, we were in one of the newer sites with a deck overlooking the trees. We didn’t want to leave. The service was excellent with firewood delivered right to the site and essential items in the office store. I hope to camp at Rifrafters again!

  Very nice campground but a little rough keeping it just below a 5. Price is good. Restrooms were clean but are aging. RV Camping lots are a nice size and have nice tables. Roads are partially paved but where they are gravel, they can use some work. The dump station is in an awkward location on a slight hill making it difficult to use. We chose to not use the dump station. Check in was easy and we were guided to our spot. A short distance to the highway and no traffic noise. The campground is close to New River Gorge NP and other activities. We would stay here again.

  The owners of this campground are among the rudest people we have ever come across in the camping world. On our first attempt at reserving a site, we reserved the site three months in advance. When we arrived, they moved us to a different spot to accommodate 'other campers' with zero explanation. When we tried to explain we reserved that site in advance and specifically, the older bald guy, became unprofessionally furious and threatened to kick us off the grounds without a refund. The second year we tried to stay there,we again, reserved a specific site AND paid the lock-in fee, thinking, surely, this will not happen again. Unfortunately, the campground is rather beautiful, so we simply tried to fully abide by THEIR OWN rules the second time to avoid unnecessary conflict. Nope. When we arrived, they moved us AGAIN to a terrible site. Bottomline, these people are power-trippers. They're argumentative, they're rude, they're short, and if you even try to ask about the reservation process, they will just kick you off the property with no refund and no campsite. And again, they do not calmy explain what they're doing or why. They just do it...and if you question them, they will escalate the situation to an incredulous level of arguing. This place could be incredible, but the owners have completely ruined it. We will never be trying to stay here again, and will pass it along to anyone trying to stay in that area.
