Sandusky KOA Holiday Campground

  We absolutely loved our stay at the Sandusky KOA. Most of the sites are really large. There is a section of basic sites that are very much in line with most KOAs as they are quite tight. We opted for a patio site and it was the biggest I have had at a KOA. The staff was super friendly and I was quite impressed with the amount of employees out cleaning and maintaining the grounds. The have two swimming pools and two laundromats which is great. Even though the pools had tons of people in them they did not seem crowded. I will say the shower houses are old and a little dingy feeling but I don't tend to use them. My other suggestion would be to reevaluate the prices on the food offerings. We did not eat breakfast or try any of the stuff at the snack bar due to it being quite expensive. 9.00 for a walking taco is insane. Beyond that though the campground is great. There is at train that runs by frequently but we barely noticed it. We would definitely stay here again if we return.

  Rented a cabin(#3) for 5 nights. Would not allow check-in 45 minutes before 4pm. It wasn’t because they were cleaning ! The cabin was filthy including the kitchenware. KOA only provided us with the used toilet paper and paper towels on the roll when we arrived. No trash bags or dish towels. Staff was rude about replacing our bath towels once for the entire stay. A/C did not cool. Many things broken- refrigerator shelves, toaster, light switches, plugs, outside umbrella. My relative was in the cabin next to ours and had the same experience. Would NEVER rent a cabin there again! The campground itself was nice to walk around and about a 10 minute drive to Cedar Point. Bathhouses were dirty and we were scared to use the pool due to the lack of cleanliness of everything else we witnessed. For the nightly rate ($236) would expect better. This was the worst KOA cabin we’ve stayed in!

  Wonderful campground!!! The staff is so kind and helped us when in a bind. They delivered wood to the site and picked up trash daily. Bathrooms are perfectly clean! The two pools at peak times were just but still plenty of room in the heat wave and perfect for cooling off. The store is well stocked! We didn’t get to try the food but the selection was wonderful. The two bounce pillows were my kids favorites and the pickle ball was mine and my husbands fav. The basketball court was great as well. All very wall maintained in the whole park.

  Prefect location close to Cedar Point! Only a 10-15 minute drive to getting out of your car in the parking lot. The KOA had great, friendly, and helpful staff. The store had a lot of options and everything was reasonably priced. The pools had a great location and plenty of space for everyone. Tons of activities for the kids. Our site was clean and spacious. Loved how the staff sent out texts to keep everyone informed of events and the weather. Highly recommended! We will definitely go back.
