  We had an amazing stay at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore! The resort is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained, with great amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. We arrived with our 47-foot Brinkley Model G and our Ram 3500 (about 20 feet long), and were really impressed with how spacious the site was. We had plenty of room for both the RV and truck, and we were even able to fully lower the rear patio on our Brinkley and relax comfortably at the site. It’s not always easy finding parks that handle larger rigs this well, so that was a big plus. The amenities were also excellent, especially the lazy river and pool area, which were perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stay. A special mention goes to Robert, the manager, who clearly runs a great operation. He and the entire park staff were outstanding—friendly, helpful, and always on top of everything. You could tell they genuinely care about guests and take pride in keeping the park running smoothly. Overall, this was a top-tier experience. If you're traveling with a big rig and want spacious sites, great amenities, and a well-run park with excellent staff, I highly recommend Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore. We’ll definitely be back.

  We’ve stayed at several Sun Outdoors properties, and this one was by far the messiest and most disorganized. The Lazy River speakers (cheap Pyle brand, not commercial-grade) weren’t working during our stay, so we brought a personal speaker to actually have music at that end of the property. Staff told us personal speakers weren’t allowed because it “opens Pandora’s box” no acknowledgment that we were only doing this because their own system was broken. We paid $120/day for a cabana (June 29–July 5) that came with two sun loungers, a broken chair, rusted chair bases, and a side table that looked like it had been sitting in the sun for years. The loungers by the main pool were actually in much better shape, which made the cabana furniture stand out even more for what we paid. Enforcement around the property was inconsistent across the board. The posted 5.5 mph speed limit was ignored regularly including by staff on golf carts while we had to ask other guests to slow down on e-bikes and scooters ourselves. Meanwhile the speaker rule above was enforced strictly. Even their own paperwork admits the 6-guest-per-site policy doesn’t match what’s posted on the website. We also tried scanning the QR code posted for kids’ activities and events, and the link was disabled. Combined with a pretty small kids’ pool, this property clearly caters more to adults than young families. None of this is catastrophic on its own, but together it points to a lack of basic upkeep and consistency surprising for a resort that’s been under Sun Outdoors ownership for 7 years. Hoping management actually addresses the root issues instead of just enforcing rules around them. I would choose someplace else down the road.

  Great campsite for families. Lots to do for both the kids and the parents. It gets busy in the weekends, but the place was not overcrowded. The RV spots are large enough and the bathrooms are clean. Live music at the pool was nice. The camping is convenient located next to the highway. Only thing is that that highway can be heard at night.

  We like this campground but all the extra fees are much. We arrived at 12:50 p.m. and checkin is at 2;00. They charged us the extra $30 to check in early. I think this is about much, being you don’t have to worry about waiting on housekeeping to clean because we were camping in our camper. Other than this, our trip was good.
