  What a wonderful place and convenient to the entire lakes region. We walked our dog every day in the nearby Whitten Woods and then drove 20 minutes to the WOW bike trail in Laconia and rode our bikes there each day. During our trip we saw an excellent production of Come From Away at the Winnipesaukee Playhouse and then two days later thoroughly enjoyed Paul Simon at the Pavilion in Gilford. Everything we did was no more than 25 minutes from this gem of a campground with spotless grounds and bathrooms.

  Just experienced my first stay. I have to say I absolutely love the place. I can't remember names but the person in the store (owner?) was very friendly and helpful. My site was clean and spacious. And I love the fact the sites are separated by trees which is what I look for in a campground.I thought the pool a little small but it was nice to take a dip when the temps hit 90. I was impressed with the entertainment on the weekend. Very easy to get to right off the highway. And not far from Meredith and Weirs beach. I wish I would have booked a longer stay. This will be our new go to for our vacation.

  We did not have a room so that’s why 3 stars The campsites are all very well maintained and are good size. Location is ideal for proximity to white mountains and lakes region. Staff is polite, friendly and professional. We will definitely return next year.

  We had a great stay here at Ames brook. Location was great for bike week, close enough to get to the action, but far enough to enjoy quiet nights by the fire. Property very well kept and friendly service. Been here before and would stay again
