  The highway is very close by and extremely noisy at sometimes during the night. The indoor pool was truly a lifesaver in the relentless heat. There is very little shade, so come prepared with something to help provide that at your site. We were lucky enough to have two trees on our site , but most had nothing at all . It was well maintained and our 6 grandkids loved it. Cards were issued, one per campsite, for the bathrooms. This was completely insufficient but there was never anyone in the office to request another card for our group of eight people . The modern showers were phenomenal. They were kept clean and had nice hot water, good water pressure and a handheld shower head in the handicap stall. We had reserved one tent site and one RV site because we had six grandchildren with us. When a bad storm came through, the maintenance person on duty told us that the people in tents could move up close and share the site with our RV since we had plenty of grass at our RV site. The one disappointment with this Campground is their lack of staffing. We were there from Saturday night until Thursday morning of the following week and not one time was the office open to answer questions. The bathroom did run out of soap and paper towels while we were there but since we had our own we were not affected sorely by this. We would come again, hoping that their staffing issues are resolved. The location was convenient to the things that we went to see, which included Carlsbad Caverns and Sitting Bull Falls. We also made a one hour and 20 minute drive To Roswell.

  This RV park is a travelers dream. It is more than just a place to hook up the RV. All sites are clean and easily accessible for all classes of RV. An indoor heated pool helps relax the body after road trips as well as the best hot shower I've ever seen at these type of parks. Children and pets are most welcome and outdoor activities as horse shoes, are readily available. Most appreciated was staff and owners, who treated us like family. This was my first experience, and Im planning on several more to Carlsbad RV park. Best of all is location, as Carlsbad and surrounding area has more activities for all ages and groups, than any I've visited over the past several years. And finally, I want to thank the owners for a wonderful and fulfilling experience. Thanks again Miss M.

  ZERO STARS! I booked a reservation at Carlsbad RV Park a week in advance for July 6, 2026. As soon as I realized I had mixed up my dates with our stay in Las Cruces, I immediately emailed, called, and texted the park asking to move my arrival by just one day to July 7, 2026. What happened next was completely unacceptable. The day I reached out, I received no response to my email, calls, or text messages. I called again the next day... no answer. I called again on the third day... still no answer. It wasn't until the fourth day that someone finally answered the phone. The gentleman told me they normally don't accommodate reservation mistakes made by guests, but because I had been trying for several days to reach someone with no success, he agreed to move my reservation. But not without telling me that they deserve vacation from running an rv park, that was his excuse for not calling or emailing us back during those 4 days or having someone, anyone reach out to us. No apology, just excuses. We arrived on July 7 at 1:30 PM, during their posted office hours. The office was locked. The sign on the door clearly stated they were open Tuesday through Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, yet there wasn't a single employee available. I called the emergency number posted on the door. No answer. After looking around on my own, I happened to check a black mailbox next to the office and found an envelope with our site information inside. Apparently that's how guests are expected to check in when no one is there. We drove to our assigned site, unhooked the RV, and completely set up camp. That's when our neighbor came over and informed us that there was no water because the park had broken a water line earlier that morning. Seriously? Now I had to pack everything back up and head to the office to figure out what was going on. It was now around 2:00 PM, and despite supposedly being open for business, the office was still empty. I called the number again. No answer. Eventually, I saw a man walking around the property and asked if he knew where the owner was. He replied, "I am." I asked him why we had been assigned a site with no water when the water line had broken hours earlier. His response? He said he had forgotten the water line had broken that morning. Forgotten?! We paid for a full hook-up site, not a campsite with no running water. Instead of waiting around for someone to solve the problem, I walked around the front section of the park myself and checked the water at other sites. Those sites had working water, and there was one pull-through site available. I told the owner I was moving to that site because we had paid for full hookups. He simply looked at me and said, “OK." Meanwhile, there were numerous frustrated RV owners walking around the campground trying to figure out why they had no water because no one from management was communicating with guests. The lack of communication throughout this entire experience was unbelievable. It took four days just to get someone to answer the phone before our arrival. Then we arrived during posted business hours to a locked office, unanswered phones, and were assigned to a site the owner knew, or should have known, had no water. Forgetting that an entire section of your campground has no water isn't a minor oversight; it's poor management. This was one frustration after another. If you're running an RV park, answering your phone, communicating with your guests, and making sure the sites you're assigning actually have working utilities should be the bare minimum.

  This is a difficult campground to review. I believe we just happened to be there at a bad time. During our stay, the campground was in the process of upgrading services to many of their camp sites. This caused an interruption to utilities. While we had a site with full hookups, two of the four days of our stay, we had no water from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. When the water was off to our campsite, it was also off in the bath house/bathroom. So no toilets during the time from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on those days. Even though there was supposed to be cable provided, we had no cable service during the entire stay. The trenches dug in parts of the campground made walking to and from the office and bath house difficult. Additionally, the indoor pool was closed for maintenance the entire 4 days of our visit. That said, our site was plenty long and wide with a lot of room for our fifth wheel trailer and our tow vehicle. It was a level site with a picnic table. The campground was conveniently located along the major highway that ran to Carlsbad Caverns National Park and the Guadalupe Mountains National Park. The office staff was welcoming and pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend this campground, once their construction updates are completed.
