  Overall this is a very nice place to stay, the staff is courteous, sites are long with generous room between your neighbors. While the sites are long the sewer and water favor the entrance so I needed to use extra sewer hose to connect. We travel in a 37’ class A Coach with a jeep in tow. My big negative is the exit route has low tree branches our coach is 13’5” which caused us to disconnect the jeep from the coach back the coach across the drive to an empty site then reconnect and exit the park thus defeating the purpose of pull through sites. I inquired about trimming some branches and was told they would do that I guess 3 weeks was not enough time for that to happen. The first visit the WiFi was ok 3 weeks later we had some issues. The terrestrial tv was good many channels. T mobile was 2-3 bars. The location is really great not much road noise, grounds are really nice.

  I stayed at Shawnee RV Camp Forest in Illinois and it’s honestly one of the most beautiful RV parks I’ve ever visited. Gary and Andrea are wonderful owners, genuinely kind and thoughtful people who clearly care about their guests. They went out of their way to add extra gravel rock so I could step out comfortably, and they’re always so courteous and considerate. The restrooms stay spotless, the grounds are stunning, and the whole place just feels peaceful and well-maintained. They’ve truly brought a little piece of heaven to earth here. I can’t recommend it enough. Five stars! P.S If you have a Tesla and need a charge you came to the right place.

  Our family loved this campground. The owners were available via phone at any time and the host Billie Jean was so sweet! She rode by and checked on us when she found out we were having some issues with our RV. She was very caring and genuinely great to talk to. The walking paths around the ponds is so nice and the fields are covered with wildflowers and milkweed - great for the pollinators! The bathhouses were clean with good hot water and water pressure. Nature trees provide good shade. We were at site 48 and would recommend!

  This is definitely on our list of places to go back to. Service was friendly and helpful, sites are clean and leveled (we required very little leveling to set up), bathrooms are AWESOME. If you are a seasoned camping traveler, you know how wonderful it is to have a nice shower at the end of the day. These were some of the best. If you are traveling with a dog, like so many of us do, you’ll love this place. The campground is on an old golf course, and the paved golf cart paths are all there for you to walk around the lake and the whole property. The campground is easy access off hwy. 24, yet far enough that traffic noise isn’t a problem. It’s perfect. I highly recommend.
