  We chose spot B137 and I think it was perfect. It's out of the way of most of the traffic with a trail to the bathroom. The bathroom is very close but not too close. It was perfect for my mom and I to sleep and be able to get to Cadillac at 3am. There are coin operated showers down the road, none on site. This was quiet and close to the park. The site had a firepit ring, and a picnic table. I would camp here again.

  I camped at Blackwoods Campground for four nights, and it was a great experience. The campground is well shaded, quiet, and very well maintained. The restrooms were cleaned every day and kept in good condition. However, there are no showers or hot water at the campground. If you need a shower, there is a coin-operated shower facility located near the campground entrance. I highly recommend this campground and would definitely stay here again when I visit the area next year.

  Pros: beautiful, scenic, and easy to navigate. So close to trailheads within Acadia, and only 15 mins into town. Can’t really beat that at $30 a night (tent). Flush toilets, clean bathrooms, and potable water. Cons: So. Dense. I could hear my neighbor SNORING. One neighbor’s dogs woke us up by constantly barking for 30 minutes at 7 am the first morning, and the second morning, we were woken by screaming children on either side. Screaming infants at 10 pm, too. It’s just really close to other campsites, and i had to walk through other people’s campsites to get to the bathroom, which took about 2 minutes to get to, and definitely not easy to find in the middle of the night. In the bathroom, there is no soap. You have to bring your own. The worst is the ground you camp on. If you have a camper, no worries. Tent camping: whole other story. You are on GRAVEL. Couldn’t stake the tent down, and it was not comfortable.

  There are two loops, A and B. The campsites are clean. Some are tent sites, so a large rock keeps your vehicle by the road. Other sites are RV sites that you can drive in (not through). There are also handicapped sites. Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Dogs are allowed. The bathrooms are basic; a few stalls and some sinks. They supply toilet paper. NO handsoap. Hand sanitizer is provided. They have a water source by the bathroom wheee you can get fresh water and dump your dishwash water. Some bathrooms have a place where you can dump dirty dish water. Dumpsters are provided for garbage. The dumpsters are emptied every morning. Only one vehicle is allowed per site. A second vehicle must be parked in Loop A by the amphitheater. This campground has NO showers and does not sell firewood or ice. There is a private hot shower place about 0.1 mile from the entrance where you can take a shower, charge your phone, get ice and firewood. Have cash in US dollars and there is a change machine to exchange money into quarters for a shower.
