  OK, I thought long and hard about this review. Without a doubt this is the best campground I have ever been to. There is no second. With that being said, if you have a Verizon telephone, you are screwed. This is unsure half Verizon‘s fault and half the town of Hancock’s fault. There is zero cell service, which makes things kind of dangerous if you need to make phone calls or get directions you have to drive 20 to 30 minutes to pick up Internet . No, the campground has “Wi-Fi“ which is poor at best they need to get starling or something to upgrade. Now, as far as the campground goes. It is spotless. It is huge. Has multiple areas for you to stay. The staff is incredibly helpful. They are incredibly nice. My teenage daughters and I had one of the best trips ever despite me having to leave multiple times and drive to get Internet so they can respond to work issues. So my advice if you have a Verizon phone, bring a burner phone with you with a different carrier. Also bring two to $300 in cash. There is not a bank machine it within 10 miles. Also make sure that your car is filled with gas before you come to the campground. Why? There isn’t a gas station for 10 miles. If this campground was in another town, it would be 10 out of 10 stars. The town of Hancock is quaint. If you use the word quaint as archaic or the town the time has forgotten. But like I said, this is the best campground you’ll ever go to.

  We didn’t stay in a cabin so the “rooms” rating doesn’t really apply. Everything was great except for one interaction with a guy and a big black dog who said he was an employee. He was basically baiting our dogs into barking then yelled at us for our dogs barking at him while we attempted to calm and quiet them he insisted on just standing there yelling at me insisting I come talk to him. Other than this rude man we had a lovely stay and were able to spend time with our extended family.

  A MUST GO! Staff is friendly and campground is exceptional with awesome trails and amenities. Theres a secret spot on Hemlock Hill, its a nice little field with a great view!

  This has to be the best site we have ever been on. Nice and private, yet not far from the bathroom/laundry/store. And there is access to a walking trail right from our site. We definitely recommend staying here, and we will be coming back for sure!
