The law in Tennessee
Motorhome: Tennessee's length rule names trucks, not motorhomes. Its rule on moving mobile homes requires a permit for a self-propelled vehicle over 35 feet built for living in, and does not say whether that reaches a motorhome on a trip.
"1. Any self-propelled or non- self-propelled vehicle, with a length exceeding thirty -five feet (35’), so designed, constructed, reconstructed or added to by means of accessories in such manner as will permit the use thereof for human habitation, and so constructed to permit its being used as a conveyance upon public streets or highways"
Overall combination: 65 ft
"Maximum Length of Recreational Vehicle Combination Law (TCA 55-7-201) The maximum length of this type of combination vehicle is sixty-five feet (65')."
Height: 13 ft 6 in
"5. Height: 13 feet 6 inches."
Width: 102 in (8 ft 6 in)
"the operation of any motor vehicle on the state highway system, including the interstate highway system, whenever the motor vehicle, including the load, exceeds any of the following size and weight limits established by law: ... 4. Width: 8 feet 6 inches."
